Book Review and GIVEAWAY: Three Truths and a Lie, by Brent Hartinger {ends 8/9}

It's hard for me to talk about that conversation in the taxi. If I'd never suggested going away, I wouldn't have reminded Galen about Mia's parents' cabin. We never would have gone away. None of what happened that weekend would've happened. 

That's what I mean about this being all my fault. 

It's hard for me to talk about that conversation in the taxi. But that's easy compared to talking about everything that came next. 

I wasn't aware while starting this book that it was going to be as creepy as it ended up being; it definitely had a Cabin in the Woods vibe to it.

What was intriguing about this book is that the creepiness of it didn't start until about maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of the way through - when you start to realize that something very weird is going on at the cabin, and it might be one of the four people there who are responsible for it.

It usually takes me a while to read books now because of work and other responsibilities, but I whipped through this book in two days flat - it's an interesting read that will keep you guessing throughout, at least until the body count starts to rise later on in the novel.

This is also the first book I've read by Brent Hartinger, although he's apparently already published twelve other novels; just based on this book, I would recommend his writing, and hopefully at some point I can read more of his other novels.
