Luke Sutter is going to be trouble.
This novel is the fourth book in Christina Lauren's Wild Seasons series (see below for a full list of the books in the series) and it focuses on someone outside of the core Mia/Harlow/Lola group: London, Lola's roommate, who is a graphic designer by day and bartender by night.
(and no, I didn't misspell her name in the paragraph above ... read on to see why ...)

Every relationship involves two people ... plus their pasts. And as much as she enjoys her fling with Luke, when London learns about his past—more specifically, who’s in it - everything becomes the brand of complicated she strives to avoid. It’s up to Luke then to change some things in order to try and ensure he’s not something she’ll outright avoid as well.
Don't quote me on this, but I believe Luke made a minor appearance in one of the other Wild Seasons books - I think London did as well, but I don't remember her in them.
London and Luke start hooking up, but London gets scared when she thinks she wants something more - and Luke definitely wants something more, but he's gotten used to his "hookup" lifestyle because he hasn't had a serious girlfriend in a while. Oh, and that serious girlfriend was Mia, London and Lola's friend who is now married, to Ansel ... which complicates things.
Christina Lauren's Wild Seasons books are always fun, and this one was as well. Because London and Luke were such minor characters, if they showed up at all, in the other three books, however, I didn't like this one as much as the first three. However, it was definitely a cute read, and I found myself rooting for the two of them to get together, though they got off to a rocky star; Luke thought London's name was "Logan" and she didn't correct him until the next time she saw him, which was funny.
This is definitely a standalone novel, as well, but you'll want to read the other three books in the series first to catch up on all the history between the friends in the book and their pasts.
